Cider
Cider is an ancient drink, first mentioned way back when Caesar was first invading Britain. It has since become popular all over the world.
Cider
One of the best things about Cider is that it lends itself so well to fruit infusions. While a purist might insist on 100% apple Cider only, we keep an open mind here at The Bottle Club. We see no reason not to supplement the righteous apple with any fruit to create refreshing, low ABV drinks that fuel summer picnics and barbecues. For lovers of crisp apple flavours, we recommend trying the Hawkes Urban Orchard – and for those who want to try something new and exciting, the Brothers Rhubarb & Custard is a must.
Are ciders vegan?
Most ciders are vegan-friendly. However, there are a few animal-based ingredients that can be used in the production of cider for certain brands. One is called isinglass, which is made from the dried swim bladders of fish. It's used to remove impurities from wine and beer. Some cider producers also use honey as a sweetener, so it's important to read the label before purchasing a bottle. But don't worry – most ciders are vegan-friendly! In fact, there are several great vegan cider brands on the market, such as Angioletti and Wignac Cider. How long does cider last?
It really depends on the cider. If it's pasteurized and has a high alcohol content, it'll last for about a year. But most ciders are unpasteurized and have a lower alcohol content, so they usually only last for about 2-6 months.
