Long Island Iced Tea Recipe
If you've landed on this page, it's fair to say you're pretty brave. Long Island Iced Teas are as dangerous as they are delicious! Spoiler alert: there's no actual tea in this cocktail. There's no room, as it's it's packed full of booze instead.
During America's Prohibition era, when a constitutional amendment banned the sale, consumption, and production of alcoholic drinks, the resourceful Americans tried their hands at cocktail-crafting. The name actually refers to the look and colour of the finished cocktail. The rest of the story is a bit hazy, and we're not surprised. After one or two Long Island Iced Teas, you likely won’t remember the drink’s origin story anyway.
